And now that we are done with that little warning here is my review of Bold Tricks, the conclusion to The Artist Trilogy.
My Review
Is it at all possible to go back and start this book and series over again? After reading the conclusion you come away with so much love and affection for the heroine and hero, Ellie & Camden. To say that their ending was blasé and less than stellar, you would have to be a complete sap and not realize what excellent writing entails. Their ending was beyond perfect. Okkkk, getting ahead of myself here! Lets get you to the back story shall we? Ellie, Camden and Javier are all on the run after the showdown at Travis' home in Mexico. Ellie is hell bent on getting back Gus and her mother from Travis' web. In order to do so she must trust two men that have been such an important part of her life. But will trusting the wrong man cause her to meet her ultimate demise?
My God, once again I felt I was sitting in a movie theater watching all this craziness unfold. And believe me it's a good crazy. Ms. Halle kicks all sorts of ass with her writing. It's fun, exhilarating, sexy and just over all EXCELLENT! The relationship between Ellie, Camden and Javier is tense at best. There were moments throughout the book where you weren't sure who she was picking. After being #TeamJavier after On Every Street & Sins and Needles I must say Javier was a true prick in this book. He was all about himself and truly didn't care if Cam or Ellie got in the way. If you dislike Javier, this book makes no apologies for what he does because it's truly how he is. What I would love to see in the next book featuring Javier is some sort of happiness and closure for him. Does he deserve it? Maybe not, but everyone should get some type of happily ever after whether they ask for it or not.
Cam and Ellie... what can I say? The two were freaking perfect. They had to fight to get themselves back to being on the same team again. And they fought hard. Well worth it because it lead to some great bathroom and jungle sex..just saying! I don't think you could of wrote a better couple than these two. God I miss the hell out of them
If you've been on this journey with me and is a fan of the series thus far, this book is no exception. You will love it to death and wish you can start it all over again. Such a great series and so damn sad it has ended, but ended on such an excellent note. Out of a 5, I'm giving this a 5! Excellent series and highly recommended!
