Review of Phenomenal X by Michelle A. Valentine
Gave it about a 3.5 but first and foremost let me get this lil rant outta the way…
I HATE CLIFFHANGERS!!!! All books that are should give a fair warning! I mean come ooooooon that’s just good etiquette. To all those who say ” Oh a book like this just cant end in one book so the ending fits” Lemme adamantly say there are plenty of books out there that end in one book and continue on to be a series(with main characters story continuing)without making me wanna pull my hair out.
That said i liked this book. Okay i reeeeeally liked Xavier, keeping it real here! A big ole wrestler with a foul mouth and chip on his shoulder, who deep down is a teddy bear who wants to protect you!!! Yessss! Come to momma!!! I liked that Anna didn’t give in right away, that chase is always fun. But the angst and how his rival Rex was just a bit too exaggerated for my taste. It didn’t make sense how that wrestler got away with those penalties without any consequences. And that ending made me itch it was so frustrating. Yes i’m a sucker for romance but the ending has to make sense.
As for X ( i kept picturing D.J Cotrona as Xavier.Yum.) I’ll see you in my daydreams ;) -Juli
Amazon synopsis:
