Like A Wolf With A Bone By Shelly Laurenston:
I re-read this this week and once again fell head over effing heals in luv with Eggie (Eggbert Ray Smith). Don’t get it twisted, he may have hillbilly name of ALL hillbilly names but he is one dangerous SOB! The Beauty of this is that it’s set in the &0’s and it gives you an idea of how all the future Smith packs parents’s got together. Man i can’t tell you how wonderful it is to know the love story of Dee Ann’s parents. Eggie is considered the Smith packs most unstable wolf. Even his own brothers stay outta his way and that’s the way he likes it. That is until he sees Darla Mae, all he wants is to get closer and get to know her. When she’s attacked in front of him he does what comes natural and kills every perp in sight. When she’s hurt he does what he thinks is logical and kidnaps her talking her home with him where he can keep her safe. So adorable that Darla being a pacifist wolf And Eggie who has made a career out of violence fall in love. Where she brings out his softer, protector side, he brings out the full on she wolf. The same hilarity and colorfulness happens here as in all her book which = an amazing great read. And the parents of all the characters in The Pride series, that’s just the cherry on top of this yummy paranormal sundae.
As for Cynthis Edens Wed or Dead, it was alright. Wolf alpha Gage Ryder marries a human bride who is actually part of an organisation out to kill shifter’s. Pretty typical story were they get to really know each other and fall head over heals after they tie the knot. It wasn't a bad story, but Ms. Laurenston definitely was the headliner of the two (for me anyways) - Juli
