Arc was provided by NetGalley for an honest review:
All hail the queen of Paranormal Smut! Shelly Laurenston’s books are by go to when i need a lil joy. The woman simply delivers. Her colorful characters Are just so engaging i simply forget i even exist and become one with the story. And the best part? (besides the hot romance and amazing storytelling) These books are just so flat out funny. Jems is what they are!
Photographer Livy Kowalski is a Honey badgers with no time or patience for BS, besides she comes form a long line of BS-ers (thief’s, crooks, killers etc, etc)so staying away form people is the best option. Then her father dies and all hell breaks loose. While doing a job for her friend Vic, she finds out his untimely death was more of a horrible murder and suddenly her world falls apart. That side of her she once ignored, the criminally insane side her parents ingrained in her has to take the lead in order to get revenge.
Vic Barinov(awesome sexy mother effer bear/tiger hybrid)Is usually a pretty reasonable sort of guy (as most bears are)and Livy just drives his world axis nuts! Not only does she break (burrows) Into his house and eats his honey but she’s making him feel things he’d never thought he’d feel. Their dialogue is hilarious and i luv the thought of this big 7ft tall man being bossed around by a 5ft-er.
Vic becomes her main supporter and somewhere along the way two shifter’s who prided themselves in never needed anyone can’t seem to want to be apart. Super sweet and hilariously sexy. As in all her books filled with so many wonderful characters it’s really hard to pick a fave. All around good time. I’d give it 10 stars if i could. Can’t wait till the next one, and can it please be about Reece? I wanna know who takes down that bad boy ;) -Juli
