My Review of Book 1, Night Owl, can be found here

So it's been a few weeks since I've read and absorbed, Last Light, into my brain. I've waited on baited breathe with this book. Pure insanity I started to show with having to wait for it's release. Well it came, it saw and M. Pierce has singlehandedly wreck havoc on my brain and heart, in the classic M. Pierce cray, cray way.

Last Light, by M. Pierce picks up after the "out of this world" epilogue we read in Night Owl. Matt Sky...DEAD?! Say it wasn't so! Well guess what? It wasn't so. That was all a grand scheme by Matt to get some type of normalcy back into his life. Problem is Hannah is in on it and you have his grieving family coming to terms with his death and hell bent on bringing down the person who has published the book chronicling Matt and Hannah's sex crazed and tumultuous relationship. Hannah is trying to live through the lie and fend off his brothers' at every turn and lovable but sometimes I want to punch him in his head, Matt, is truly trying to come to grips with not having Hannah by his side through this wild and crazy ride. *chuckles* Do you honestly believe this was the gist of the story? Hell NO! There was truly so many twist and turns in this story and WTF moments I had to do a double read. By now you should of read Night Owl, is there anything simple about Matt Sky?

I have to say this book was worth the wait. At times in the story I felt I knew where it was going and then it did a 180 degree turn and decided to take me on another rollercoaster journey. Hannah and Matt are still one of my favorite couples. I hated the fact that once again their being together, this time around, was built on lies and secrecy. Just wasn't fair. Can't the secrets and lies take break for just a second? BUT I do understand why Matt did what he did in the book. Matt was downright deceptive in this book. He is truly one of those men that has to have everyone and everything that he cares about at his side no matter the consequence. Is that a bad thing? Absolutely not. He knows Hannah is it for him. And if he feels she isn't ready to realize that, what else is he suppose to do? Matt drove me crazy in this book and honestly... I wouldn't have had it any other way. Hannah grew some balls in this book when it came to Matt and even his brothers. But I felt Hannah was always a strong and fierce female lead. If anything, her character has only and will only get strong as we come to final book. She put up with a lot from Matt in this book. And to put up with a man and his sometimes possessive and obsessive mindset takes strength, that a lot of female book characters are currently lacking. Loved her.

The sex scenes were scrumptious. Two of my favorites "the fantasy scene" and "the masturbation/face ride scene" were jaw/drool worthy moments that is forever in my brain and by NO MEANS is that a bad thing. Out of a 5. I'm giving this book a 4.5. M. Pierce! Where the hell are you taking us in this series??? The ending has me longing for more. Damn you and your addicting writing. Can't wait to see what else is up your sleeve!
