I absolutely loved this steamy hot novela! And gawd dayum this cover! This guy’s got abs on top of abs! In this short story two 40 something yr. old’s find the chance to crush like teens and then some. Lauren’s the town librarian who humorously describes herself as a “Empty nester divorcee, that’s counting down the years to menopause”. She’d happily live like a spinster except for one detail : She needs to get laid. Worst of all it doesn’t help that the library is connected to the towns firehouse. Especially when one in particular loves to work out shirtless. Since her divorce shes lusted after Jake. He’s sex on legs but unfortunately forbiden fruit. The thing is Jake is really good friends with her ex and she knew his late wife pretty well. Fire captain Jake Davis has been a widower for four yrs. Everyone from his daughter to her fiance believe it’s time he got back on that proverbial horse and start dating. the thing is he does, but it’s all awkwardness and he still has yet to find someone he really wants to spend his time with. Except for the sexy librarian hes never been able to ignore. Then a girl’s night and a lil black dress changes it all. They were super hot and Lauren’s inner dialogue is pretty funny. I highly recommend this as a quick read. Especially if you need a break from a series and just want a refresh. -Juli
