Review of Maybe Matt's Miracle (A Reed Brothers Novel) by Tammy Falkner
May 22, 2014
Synopsis
Matthew Reed has seen his share of problems. But he’s a Reed and Reeds can overcome anything. Matt is content working in his family’s tattoo parlor with his brothers surrounding him. The only thing he’s lacking is the ability to have a family of his own. Then his battle with cancer leads him to meet a woman who just might need him as much as he needs her.
She didn’t need anything...
Skylar Morgan is happy. She has a boyfriend. Sure, he doesn’t make her heart pound faster and he really doesn’t support her when she needs it. But she doesn’t need much. Does she? She’s happy to be self-sufficient and she’s happy that she doesn’t have a tremendous amount of responsibility. She’s educated, has a great job, and she has enough money for a lifetime. But what she lacks, she doesn’t even realize until she meets him. And them. The ones who change her life forever.

My Review
Yes it was sappy but I loved every single cheesy, passion filled line. Ate it right up in fact with my hearts romance starved spoon! Aside the fact that it’s Matt the sweetest of the bunch, you know what l LOVED most? That she made him his own person with his own way of loving and loving up on someone. Yes there is a family dynamic with these Reed boys that makes them all similar, but that doesn’t mean they should all basically be the same man, same story repeated. This is the problem I’m having with so many series I’ve read lately. They’re so busy trying to make them these rough rude bad boy alpha males they forget to make the stories individual. And it’s boring the curls outta me. If she (Ms Falkner) would have taken that route I would have dropped this series in a heartbeat. So happy she didn’t! He still had the dirty mouth (Yum!) and was even bossy, just in a more respectful way. After surviving cancer and raising all his hottie brother’s with the eldest I expected nothing less. Sure it wasn’t as steamy as say Logan’s book but I don’t think it was about that ( though I found it hot). I think it’s meant to be a heartwarming, dreamy reminder that second chances do exist. And life sometimes ends up giving you what you need most when you least expect it.
